Website mein-märkisches -viertel.de
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Berlin’s Märkisches Viertel – one the largest satellite cities built in the 1970s – GESOBAU reinvigorated the district with a new corporate design and website. The website offers residents (and their guests) 2470Media video portraits of their fascinating community. With sound accessed via GPS and smartphone from the website, SBCA (Sally Below Cultural Affairs) has created an innovative sound walk through the neighbourhood. It also offers comprehensive details on the Märkisches Viertel architectural exhibition, opened in July 2014. The key ingredient to the website? Each of the 37,000 residents can create their own logo for the neighborhood ; with the online logo generator, it child’s play. And Berlin-based agency Realgestalt was responsible for the conception, web design, online brand design, project management, programming and website production.
